KawaiiCam Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 8, 2025 Avery Intelligence, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") operates the KawaiiCam mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains our data practices and commitment to your privacy. Our Privacy Promise: This App does not have user accounts, does not collect your personal information, and does not use analytics or tracking SDKs. Your privacy is a core feature.

This App is designed to be a private and secure tool. While it requires an internet connection to process your photos with powerful AI, your personal data and artwork are stored locally on your device.

To provide transparency, here is the exact data flow when you transform a photo: • Local Selection: You select a photo from your device's library or take a new one with your camera. The photo remains on your device. • Secure Transmission: The photo is sent via an encrypted connection to our third-party AI service provider (OpenAI) for processing. • AI Transformation: The AI service transforms your photo into anime-style artwork and sends the result back to the App. • Local Storage: The final, transformed artwork is saved directly to your device's local storage. We do not store a copy of your original photo or the generated artwork on our servers.

When your photos contain faces, we handle this data with special care and full transparency: ### Why We Process Face Data • Artistic Transformation Only: Face data is processed solely to apply anime-style artistic effects to your photos. We do not use face data for identification, authentication, surveillance, or any biometric purposes. • Style Preservation: The AI needs to detect facial features to properly apply the anime art style while maintaining recognizable characteristics in the transformed image. • No Face Recognition: We do not use face data to identify individuals or build facial profiles. ### Face Data Storage Duration • On Our Servers: We do not store face data on our servers. Photos are transmitted to AI providers for immediate processing only. • Processing Duration: Face data exists in our system only during the brief moment of transmission to our AI partner (typically less than 30 seconds). • On Your Device: The original photo containing face data remains on your device only. The transformed anime version is stored locally per your settings. ### Third Parties We Share Face Data With To create your anime transformations, we share your photos (which may contain face data) with: • OpenAI (DALL-E): For AI-powered image generation and anime-style transformation ### Why We Share Face Data • Technical Necessity: OpenAI provides the advanced AI technology required to transform photos into high-quality anime art • Quality Results: Their service offers the best available technology for artistic transformation while preserving facial characteristics ### Third-Party Face Data Practices OpenAI: • Retains all API data (including photos with faces) for exactly 30 days for service operation and abuse detection • After 30 days, data is automatically deleted from their systems • Does not use API customer data for model training (this is their standard practice for all business API users) • Images generated through their API are not stored permanently • Data is encrypted in transit and at rest during the 30-day retention period • See OpenAI's Privacy Policy for full details Important Face Data Limitations The 30-day retention period is the standard practice for all users of OpenAI's API - we do not have special arrangements We cannot guarantee complete deletion of face data from third-party systems after the 30-day period OpenAI may retain data longer than 30 days for legal compliance, safety monitoring, or policy violations If you are uncomfortable with this face data processing, please do not upload photos containing faces Important: When you transform photos containing faces, you are responsible for having the necessary permissions from the individuals in those photos.

We do not collect, store, or have access to: • Personal Information: No names, emails, phone numbers, or user accounts. • Analytics or Usage Data: We do not use any analytics services to track your behavior. • Tracking Identifiers: We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA). • Metadata: We do not collect location data or other metadata embedded in your photos. • Device Information: We do not collect device IDs, IP addresses, or hardware information.

All data storage happens locally on your device: • Original Photos: Remain in your device's photo library • Generated Artwork: Saved to your device using SwiftData • User Preferences: Stored in AppStorage on your device • Usage Counter: Monthly transformation count stored locally • Subscription Status: Managed by Apple's StoreKit on device

• OpenAI: We use the OpenAI API to perform the AI image transformations. OpenAI retains all API data (including your photos) for 30 days for service operation and abuse detection, then automatically deletes it. They do not use API customer data for model training as standard practice. See their privacy policy for full details. • Apple: Apple processes payments for our subscriptions and is responsible for your billing information. We do not have access to your payment details.

Your privacy control is direct and simple: • Access: All of your content (original photos and generated artwork) is stored on your device for you to access at any time. • Deletion: You can delete any image from the App's gallery at any time. Deleting the App from your device will remove all associated stored data. • Control: You choose which photos to transform and when to delete them. • Portability: Your generated artwork can be saved to your photo library and shared as you wish.

This App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you are under 13, please do not use this App.

We implement security measures to protect your data during transmission: • Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all API communications • Image compression before transmission to minimize data exposure • No server-side storage of your photos or artwork

The App is operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your photos will be transmitted to AI processing services that may be located in different countries.

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
